The Bayford family have mainly originated from Hertfordshire and Essex, though over the years they have moved to other counties and London. Today, there are 'cousins' in various parts of the world including America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa. Gradually, it is hoped that this page will become a one stop shop for the Bayfords and their link families.
Only two generations back have been entered for the Link families, unless as in a few instances the same link family has married various Bayford 'cousins'. However to assist in family research there are notes on any findings.
In some cases as we progress through the research of the family, it will take a while to link all the Bayfords together but this will hopefully come together. This is very much a work in progress and information is being continually updated and added to.
RESEARCH - A number of people have supported the research in putting this information together, however my special thanks must go to Dee, Lyndsey, Linda, Gyl, John, Tony, Jacqui, Betty and Lorriane.
BAYFORD DAY 2008 - A family Ancestry Day for the Bayfords and their link families. This is took place on Saturday 13 September 2008 at the Three Horse Shoes, Spellbrook, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. An excellent Day with over 130 members of the family attending from as far afield as Canada. The plan is to go forward with a Bayford family newsletter and another Bayford Day planned for 2010 - see below.
BAYFORD DAY 2010 - The second family Ancestry Day took place on Saturday 2nd October 2010 at the Vine, Waltham Cross. Once again a very fullfilling day with 40 cousins coming from a far a field as Cardiff, Sussex and Nottingham and many living local to the Vine. Shared information and photographs were a joy to see, hopefully the family members will put them on this site. William and Hannah Clarke's great, great, great grandchildren seemed to be the bulk of the attendees this year so it was good to meet some new cousins.
